Guard- Morgan McDaniel, Weeki Wachee, JR: There wasn’t any kind of rebuild after the Hornets reached the state semifinals last year. Instead Weeki Wachee is reloading with a new trio and leading the way is point guard Morgan McDaniel. McDaniel had a solid junior campaign averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.

Guard- Esther Jackson, Hernando Christian, JR: The junior Guard was by far the top player on the floor all season long for the Lions and helped get the team all the way to the region finals, just a step away from states. Jackson was able to score 16.5 points per game and hit a team-high 26 3-pointers.

Forward- Princess Hester, Weeki Wachee, SO: The 5-foot-11 forward was the second leading scorer for Weeki Wachee’s 18-9 team. The Hornets bounced back very nicely and Hester averaged 16.0 points per game and also notched nine rebounds a contest. Hester will be a key cog for the Hornets the next couple of seasons.

Forward- Sy Crowley, Weeki Wachee, SO: The reload for Weeki Wachee couldn’t have happened without the play of forward Sy Crowley this past season. The sophomore forward averaged a team-high 17 points a game and also pulled down 10.2 rebounds. Crowley also was the top steal leader at an average of 4.8 per game.

Center- Heaven Lee, Nature Coast Technical, SO: One of Hernando County’s best players resides out of Nature Coast in Heaven Lee. The 6-foot center came in as a sophomore and dominated the paint area for the Sharks. Lee averaged a team-high 15.5 points per game and also had 6.8 boards a contest.

Utility- Taliyah Dowdell, Hernando, SR: The senior Leopard was the top scorer for the club, which went 11-14 this past season. Dowdell was the team's top player and averaged 9.6 points per game and 4.4 rebounds a contest. Though Hernando didn’t reach the postseason, Dowdell was one of the bright spots for the team.
