Guided Hike: Centralia Logging Town

Tour what was once the bustling logging town of Centralia. We will meet at the Chassahowitzka WMA entrance at 10am before walking to and through the historical logging town. Local arborist and historian Ken Morgan will guide the trip, sharing information about the town, it’s people, and the activities that went on there. Much of the approximately 2.5 mile walk will be shaded and some of it will be off trail, including some sandy areas and uneven terrain. We recommend bringing water and wearing close toed shoes and long pants. This event is expected to last 2.5-3 hours.  

While normally Chassahowitzka WMA requires a day use fee, the fee is waived for participants of this program during this program.
