Invasive Species Day
Join us Saturday, March 5 in celebrating invasive species awareness week at Chinsegut conservation center. Center staff and other subject matter experts will be holding presentations and will be on hand to help residents learn more about non-native and invasive species found locally from 10am-1pm.
The program begins with an introduction to invasive/non-native terminology followed by presentations on non-native animal and plant species. At the end of the presentations there will be a demonstration and short hike where we practice using the IveGot1 smart phone app to report sightings of non-native species. You can download the app here: https://www.eddmaps.org/.
Please register if you plan to attend. Registration can be found by visiting myfwc.com/Chinsegut, clicking on Schedule of Activities, then opening this event and clicking Register.
