 MINING OPERATION PLAN APPROVAL(MOPA)
 MODIFICATION FOR BRONSON EXTENSION-BROOKSVILLE QUARRY CEMEX CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS FLORIDA LLC

Pursuant to Hernando County Mining Ordinance 93-13, the Zoning Division has reviewed an application for Mining Operation Plan Approval (MOPA) from CEMEX Bronson Extension. The application was reviewed and determined to be generally consistent with the Approved Master Plan, Master Mining Plan Approval, Comprehensive Plan and all other state and federal requirements.

The CEMEX Bronson extension is located at 16550 Fort Dade Avenue.  The property is an approximate 573.47 +/- acres of land.  The mine has an approved master mining plan approval (MAMPA) approved on September 24, 2019.  The five-year plan approved will consist of hardrock and softrock mining of an estimated 105.80 +/- acres of land areas to be disturbed.  The acreage to be mined has been assessed for endangered wildlife and flora.  Only soft rock will be re­moved for use in the construction and agricultural industries.

Any applicant or affected person has thirty (3O) days to notify the Zoning Division in writing of any recommendations, comments, or objections for its review. The Division shall review such recommendations, comments, or objections and either approve or deny the pending application for the MOPA
