Notice is hereby given that the Southwest Florida Water Management District has received an application from the Hernando County Utilities Department (15365 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, Florida 34613) for short form modification of a water use permit to withdraw water from wells in the Consolidated Hernando County Water System. Application number: 20005789.014. The modification is to: discontinue semi-annual Wetland Assessment Procedures (WAP) at Weeki Wachee Prarie 1 (WWP1-hwe/DID 158); hydrologic and incidental wildlife monitoring at Cypress Lake (CL-sg/DID22 and CL-mw/DID 23); rainfall data collection at Hunters Lake (HUNT-rg/DID132 and Weeki Wachee Prairie (WWP-rg/DID130), hydrologic, wildlife, and; ecological monitoring at Sand Point Pond and Townsen Prairie (SPP-sg/DID 28, SPP-mw/DID 29, TOP-sg/DID 32, TOP-mw/DID 33, and SPP-hwe/DID 148 and TOP-hwe/DID 149).  Predominant use type(s): Public Supply. Total requested withdrawal average daily gallons per day: 23,299,000 gpd. Peak month average gallons per day: 28,657,800 gpd. From: 58 wells. Location: Township 21 South, Range 18 East, Sections 4 and 10; Township 22 South, Range 17 East, Section 26; Township 22 South, Range 18 East, Sections 8, 19, and 30; Township 22 South, Range 19 East, Section 3; Township 22 South, Range 20 East, Sections 18, 29, and 34; Township 22 South, Range 21 East, Section 32; Township 23 South, Range 17 East, Sections 12, 15, 25, and 28; Township 23 South, Range 18 East, Sections 4, 5, 9, 11, 13, 17, 19, and 21; Township 23 South, Range 20 East, Sections 1, 3, 5, and 8; and Township 23 South, Range 21 East, Sections 3, and 11 in Hernando County. The application is available for public inspection Monday through Friday at SWFWMD Brooksville office 2379 Broad Street, Brooksville, Florida 34604. Interested persons may inspect a copy of the application and submit written comments concerning the application. Comments must include the permit application number and be received within 14 days from the date of this notice.
