NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF
PROPOSED ENACTMENT OF
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County Florida, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., in the John Law Ayers Room, County Commission Chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main Street, Room 160, Hernando County, Brooksville, Florida, to consider the following:
MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE HERNANDO COUNTY BUILDING AND BUILDING REGULATIONS ARTICLE II CONSTRUCTION CODE DIVISION 2-CONSTRUCTION LICENSING CODE; SECTION 8-28 SPECIALITY CONTRACTORS. MODIFICATION REMOVES SPECIALTY CONTRACTORS FROM LOCAL GOVERNMENT JURISDICTION AND PROHIBITS LOCAL GOVERNMENT FROM IMPOSING AND MODIFYING LICENSING REQUIREMENTS. STATE OF FLORIDA BILL HB 735 SIGNED IN TO EFFECT ON JULY 1, 2021.
THIS PROPOSED ORDINANCE may be inspected by the public at the Hernando County Development Department, 789 Providence Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, legal holidays excepted, or at the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court, Hernando County Courthouse, 20 North Main Street, Room 131, Brooksville, Florida, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, legal holidays excepted. YOU HAVE A RIGHT to appear and be heard at the public hearing in the John Law Ayers Room, County Commission Chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main Street, Hernando County, Brooksville, Florida, and/or to send a written objection to the County Commissioners at 20 North Main Street, Room 263, Brooksville, Florida 34601-2800.
YOU ARE FURTHER ADVISED that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners, with respect to the subject matter of the hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purposes, that person will need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
