NOTICE OF PROPOSED  AMENDMENT TO CHARTER

CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA
NOTICE OF PROPOSED 
AMENDMENT TO CHARTER
AND CANDIDATES FOR CITY COUNCIL GROUP 2 AND 3
FOR NOVEMBER 3, 2020 
GENERAL ELECTION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE  that a municipal election shall be held during the General Election on November 3, 2020 for the purpose of the electorate deciding on the Group No. 2 and Group No. 3 City Council seats.   Both seats are for four year terms expiring December, 2024.  Those candidates are as follows:

      GROUP 2
    David  W. Bailey
    Joe Bernardini 

    GROUP 3
    Blake E. Bell
    Tom Dye

Also, in accordance with Ordinance No. 919 approved by Brooksville City Council on March 2, 2020, a Charter amendment question for the City of Brooksville, Florida, will be on the ballot of the General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. City of Brooksville voters will be asked the Charter Amendment question, as follows:

Shall Section 2.15(a) of the Brooksville City Charter be amended to state that any transfer of appropriated funds within a city department’s budget requires the approval of the City Council?

Ordinance No. 919 can be viewed at the City Clerk’s office at Brookville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville, Fl.  34601 or by emailing the City Clerk at [email protected] or by phone at 352-540-3810. All qualified electors residing in the City of Brooksville shall be entitled to vote the proposed referendum.
