The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida, 34601. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 973 will be heard April 1, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

Ordinance No. 973:

AN ORDINANCE OF CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTIONS 82-43, “REMOVAL OF VEHICLE” and 82-44 “Violation and fine schedule” OF Article iI, “PARKING”, OF Chapter 82, “TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES”, OF subpart a, “GENERAL ORDINANCES”, OF part ii, code of ordinances; ESTABLISHING A PROHIBITION AND CIVIL PENALTY FOR PARKING IN AREAS CLOSED FOR SPECIAL EVENTS, ALLOWING FOR THE REMOVAL OF VEHICLES PARKED IN SUCH AREAS; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE TO THE VEHICLE OWNER; PROVIDING FOR OWNER RESPONSIBILITY OF TOWING AND STORAGE CHARGES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Any person desiring to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at this meeting may need a record of the proceedings including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, and, therefore, must make arrangements for a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made.
