The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 966 will be held at 7:00 p.m., March 20, 2023. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

Ordinance No. 966:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE AND PROCESSING OF NEW APPLICATIONS AND PLANS RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT, (NOT TO INCLUDE FREESTANDING BUILDINGS OR RESIDENTIAL INFILL PROJECTS) IN THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE PENDING THE ADOPTION OF DESIGN STANDARDS, REVIEW AND REVISIONS TO LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, AND REVIEW AND REVISIONS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN RELATING TO NEW DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE CITY AND PROVIDING FOR THE TERMINATION OR A POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF THE MORATORIUM BY RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, NON-CODIFICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. Any person desiring to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at this meeting may need a record of the proceedings including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, and, therefore, must make arrangements for a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made.
