Notice is hereby given that the Southwest Florida Water Management District has received Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) application number 866959 from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) whose address is 11201 McKinley Dr, Tampa, FL 33612. Application received: March 15, 2023. Proposed activity: mill and resurface of US 98/SR 50/SR 700/Cortez Blvd from E of Mondon Hill Rd/Spring Lake Hwy to W of Lockhart Road. Additional improvements also include keyhole widening for bicycles at nine right turn lanes, guardrail installation, addition of a 4’ paved shoulder in the median, and drainage work within existing linear ponds along SR 50. The proposed work will modify ERP# 4306.002. Project Name: US 98/SR 50/SR 700/Cortez Blvd from E. of Mondon Hill Rd/Spring Lake Hwy to W. of Lockhart Rd (FPID 443805-1-52-01). Project size: 65.8 acres. Location: Sections 1, 2, 3, Township 23S, Range 20E and Sections 34, 35, 36, Township 22S, Range 20E, Hernando County. Outstanding Florida Water: No. Aquatic Preserve: No.

The application is available for public inspection Monday through Friday at the Southwest Florida Water Management District, 7601 Highway US 301 North Tampa, FL 33637 or through the “Application & Permit Search Tools” function on the District’s website at www.watermatters.org/permits/. Interested persons may inspect a copy of the application and submit written comments concerning the application. Comments must include the permit application number and be received within 14 days from the date of this notice.
