Eleanor Van Buskirk

Mrs. Eleanor (Piazza) Van Buskirk, devoted and beloved wife and mother, has passed away at age 73 on July 2, 2019 with her husband, Larry by her side in Jacksonville, Florida. Eleanor was born on December 21, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Fury and Barbara Piazza and her sister Joyce. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry and her two devoted children, Dawn and Larry Jr., and her two sisters Lorraine and Carol. Eleanor also has four loving grandchildren, Larry, Erika, Nicole and Jaclynn along with five great grandchildren, Riley, Asher, Maile, Jaimelynn and Jarett. She also leaves behind her adored dog, Mollie.

Eleanor “Miss Ellie”, as her husband and friends called her, grew up in Long Island, NY where she graduated from Lindenhurst High School. She fulfilled her dream of traveling the world by becoming a travel agent at West of the Moon Travel in Brooksville, FL. Her other passions were cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She loved and watched the Food Network Station, every day. No one has embraced life as fully and joyfully as Eleanor. She cared for everyone she became close to.

Always wanted to please everyone.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. 

Friends and family members are welcome to attend the visitations on Wednesday, July 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Thursday, July 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Phone 904-288-0025. 

Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11757 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258, Phone (904) 268-5422 on Friday, July 12th, 2019 at 10 am. She will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207, following the service.

Marcia Lee (Bettendorf) Calarco

Brooksville, FL – Marcia Lee (Bettendorf) Calarco, 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA. At the request of her family, services will be private.
Marcia was born on November 13, 1946 in Yonkers, NY to the late Clyde Richard and Alice Marie (Powrie) Bettondorf. She was a very hardworking and dedicated mom. Marcia worked as an administrative assistant, primarily in bookkeeping for most of her life. She loved roses and square dancing. 
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Scott Calarco (Edna), Richard Calarco (Angela) and her longtime friend of 40 years, Marlene Muckerman.

On Monday, July 1, 2019 Charles J Campbell, accomplished craftsman and father of four, passed away at the age of 89. Born April 20, 1930 in Bristol, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Florence Mellor / Campbell. Upon graduation, Charles served with the army security forces from 1951 to 1954 with two years duty in East Africa as Master Sargent. He went on to work as a superintendent for Sears and roebuck company with prior experience as a journeyman, carpenter and superintendent in Philadelphia for the United brotherhood of carpenters. His career highlights include starting his own building companies as well as working as a supervisor for Warminster Heights development Corp., the city of Wildwood and the Township of Deptford New Jersey. Charles was preceded in death by his father Joseph, his mother Florence and his wife Virginia and his son Richard / Aleks Campbell, he is survived by his three children Gary Campbell, Judy Campbell / Tremellen / Jon and Jody Campbell, grandchildren Jennifer Campbell Bovack , Austin Tremellen, Tyler Tremellen and Gavin Lennox, great grandchildren Michael Bovack and Autumn Rose Bovack. He is survived by his sister Helen McManus and sweetie, Helen Mcininch of 21 years. A beloved scoutmaster of Troop 12 and Builder of custom homes and family furniture, Charles was known for his ability to repair nearly anything on this earth! He was extremely patriotic and very generous to his favorite charities. The memorial service will be held on July 21, 2019 in Ocean City, Maryland.
