Roman A. Stelmach of Spring Hill, FL, and Chesapeake, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was the husband of the late Anna A. (Grzelak) Stelmach.
Born in Warsaw, Poland, he was the fifth son of the late Stanislaw and Stanislawa (Wysocka) Stelmach. Roman was a New Britain, CT resident until 1975, when he moved his family to Spring Hill, FL. He worked for Pratt-Whitney and Fefnir Bearing in CT and ABA Industries in FL before retiring.
Surviving are his two daughters, Ilona M. Gallagher of Florida and Margaret “Gosia” Ray, and her husband, Kirk, of Virginia: Four grandchildren; Stephen of Indiana, Charles of Florida, Hunter, and Tristan of Virginia: Four great-grandchildren; Kamryn, Izaiah, Brayden, and Brooklyn, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his four brothers, Stanislaw (Waldek), Ryszard, Mieczyslaw (Mietek), and Jozef.
A private Memorial service was held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, FL.
