Willis “Bud” Sixt, 91, of Brooksville, Florida passed away in Brooksville, Florida on March 21, 2024. He was born in Berea, Ohio on March 31, 1932 to Willis and Rose Sixt. Willis helped start Alcoholics Anonymous groups and just received his 46-year coin. He was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union and was a boat captain with private yachts. He is survived by his step-son: Lee Krauss (Karen) of Bushnell, Florida; granddaughter: Nicole Goson (Kristoff) of Charlotte, North Carolina; great granddaughters: Gabrielle Goson and Gianna Goson both of Charlotte, North Carolina, and his companion: Pamela Hutchens of Brooksville, Florida. A service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 12:30 PM (Visitation from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM) at Purcell Chapel in Bushnell, Florida with Pastor Lee Krauss officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sturgill Hospice House of HPH Hospice in Brooksville, Florida. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.purcellfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home- Purcell Chapel, Bushnell, Florida.
