Tampa Bay Buccaneers tag wide receiver Chris Godwin

TAMPA- A key piece to the Super Bow LV winning team will be back for the 2021 season. 

On Tuesday, the Buccaneers officially tagged wide receiver Chris Godwin, who was set to enter free agency unless tagged otherwise by Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers went ahead to ensure they locked up one of the top wide receivers in the National Football League.

In a pandemic season, it was questionable whether Tampa Bay would be able to complete a full season, nonetheless win a world championship. Signing Tom Brady, trading for tight end Rob Gronkowski, signing Antonio Brown and Leonard Fournette was all worth it in the end.

TAMPA- This Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense stepping up at the right time and now they’re heading to Super Bowl LV in their own backyard at Raymond James Stadium.

Sitting at 7-7 in 2019 with a couple of games left in the regular season and it looked as if everything would likely stand pat for the 2020 campaign. Jameis Winston looked to be well on his way to being the returning starter, but two bad starts against the Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons ended his time, after the Buccaneers defense played very well down the stretch.

Fast forward quite a bit to present day and Tampa Bay has exorcised another demon, the New Orleans Saints, in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
