Tampa Bay Buccaneers begin new era in the face of COVID 19 and the Brady bunch

In the National Football League, it’s back to business as usual but obviously with some adjustments as league members try to navigate their way through the COVID-19 pandemic still spreading across the globe. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcomed quarterbacks and rookies into One Buc Place this past week and it’s been a slightly different feel to the start of camp.

TAMPA- When you’re one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, it helps to have a famous parent get you the hook up for workouts. That hook up in this case is Hall of Famer Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur, getting to workout with Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady.

Last weekend, the two met up in Tampa, FL to workout together and they appeared to form a strong bond once the workout concluded. Shedeur Sanders is a senior quarterback who plays at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas and is the 34th ranked player in the state, according to 247Sports.

TAMPA- If you were hoping for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to continue loading up on skill players (like I was), you were entirely let down by the NFL Draft 2020. The Buccaneers made sure to draft players to continue providing more talent around newly acquired quarterback Tom Brady, but also adding some much needed protection on the offensive line.

TAMPA- If you want to get away from the realities of the COVID-19 virus for just a little bit, there was some major news in the National Football League that jolted the Tampa Bay area. 

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady will be signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with details to the contract not yet disclosed. It’s believed by insiders around the NFL that Brady will make upwards around $30-million per season, with the contract likely spanning multiple years.

Beating themselves has become an all too familiar scene for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers throughout the 2019 NFL campaign.

It’s been a rather disappointing season for a club that was expected to make some noise in the NFC South Division this year. The team has been hampered by interceptions, fumbles by their running backs, defensive breakdowns in the secondary or special teams miscues on missed field goals.

Buccaneers 2019 Draft Review

The 2019 NFL draft is over, and now comes all of the second guessing and backseat general managers. The Buccaneers had eight selections, focusing mainly on their weaknesses.

Linebacker Devin White was the team’s first-round selection. Following that, the Buccaneers selected three defensive backs, cornerbacks Sean Bunting and Jamel Dean, and safety, Mike Edwards. Defensive linemen Anthony Nelson and Terry Beckner rounded out the defensive players taken by Tampa.
