Show Us Your Sunshine: The Spring Lake Memorial Classic

The Spring Lake Memorial Classic, a fund-raiser hosted by The Arc Nature Coast, makes a grand return Saturday, May 29, at The Arc Nature Coast - Brooksville Campus, 5283 Neff Lake Road, Brooksville.  And while competitors course the sun-drenched hills of scenic eastern Hernando County in 10K (The Neff Lake Monster), 5K (Florida's Toughest 5K) and 2 mile (The Perfect Stroll) races, they will be helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Christmas Angels

Christmas angels come in many forms; and this Christmas season, nine Hernando organizations aided a local church in delivering many rays of Yuletide sunshine to families in need.

On Dec. 19, 70 families that included 216 children received donations of Christmas gifts and food at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic church.  

SunShine: Timber Pines raised over $20K for 2020 Shop with a Cop program

The private Spring Hill residential community of Timber Pines has joined the Hernando County Sheriff's Office in brightening the holidays of children in need with vibrant rays of sunshine--via a charitable donation of more than $20,000. And, organizers will tell you, celebrating this achievement was a walk in the park.
