The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating an absconded sex offender.

Richard Albert Jager III is a Registered Sex Offender who has absconded from supervision. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Detectives believe Jager may be staying somewhere in the area of Hernando Beach, after moving from his last known residence on Preston Road in Brooksville.

Jager reports owning a business called “Rick’s Custom Docks,” which is reportedly in Homosassa, Florida.

Jager drives a 2002 red Ford pick-up truck, bearing Florida tag/JSAS58.

Jager’s physical description is as follows:

• White
• Male
• DOB/04-25-1969
• Height/6’01”
• Weight/201
• Hair/Strawberry Blonde
• Eyes/Blue.

Jager has the following tattoos:
• Cartoon middle finger on chest
• Dragon on chest
• “Family First” on L arm
• Praying Hands on chest
• Unknown tattoo on R arm.
