Golf tournament organizer and former hospice patient Patrick Hramika’s diligent efforts paid off this past Saturday, December 7, as he presented HPH Hospice with a check for $1740.00.

“I had to give back,” Hramika said.  “That’s what this is all about.”

Following the National Anthem, sung by Live Oak Theatre’s Randi Olson, 70 golfers in teams of threes and fours descended on the tee boxes at Rivard Golf Club to compete for fun and prizes for hole-in-ones, closest to the pin and longest drives.

Local Sponsors include:

  • Avalon Liquors
  • Brannen Banks
  • Blades & More
  • Brooksville Country Club
  • Deep Blue Liquors
  • Dino’s Plumbing
  • Friendly Kia
  • Joni Industries
  • Hernando County Fire Rescue Local 3670

Hramika credited his niece Lori Shaffer, wife Eileen and good friend Greg Ollivent with the reception buffet, appreciated by hungry players.  The reception was held at the Tropics RV Park clubhouse, where a 50-50 raffle was held, followed by the long-awaited Great American Duck Pluck.
