Hernando County Injury Crash – Mariner Blvd/Chalmer Street 7:01 PM 12/31/19

A 1997 Honda Civic driven by Thomas C. Goins, 38, of Spring Hill was traveling southbound on Mariner Boulevard at the intersection of Chalmer Street. Jonathan Nunes, a 7-year-old, of Spring Hill, was walking or riding a tricycle westbound across the intersection with his father and sister. The Civic entered the path of the 7-year-old and, as a result, the front right portion of the vehicle collided with the child in the southwest section of the intersection. The child is listed in serious condition at St. Joseph’s hospital. Alcohol was not involved in this accident and no charges were made.
