Fatal Hernando Crash Broad Street 5/4/20

On 5/4/2020 at 9:37 PM a 70-year-old female driver from Bell Florida was traveling northbound on Broad Street, west of Old Church Road. A second vehicle driven by a 63-year-old female from Brooksville Florida was traveling southbound on Broad Street, east of Old Church Road. As the first vehicle approached a curve in the roadway, the female driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, she entered the southbound lane of Broad Street and into the path of the second vehicle culminating in a head-on collision. Post impact the second vehicle rotated to a final rest on Old Church Road as the first vehicle rotated southeast, across a sidewalk, and struck a concrete wall. The 70-year-old driver from the first vehicle suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. Her passenger a 38-year-old male from Jacksonville suffered critical injuries. The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries.
