A motorcyclist from Spring Hill killed in crash

A Spring Hill man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a sedan on US-19 at Tower Road.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Public Information Officer (PIO) Sgt. Steve Gaskins, around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 a sedan driven by a 42-year-old woman from Villagebrook Middletown, Delaware was traveling southbound on US-19, north of Tower Drive while a motorcycle operated by an 18-year-old-man was traveling northbound on US-19.

When the driver of the sedan made a u-turn, she entered the path of the motorcycle which subsequently collided with the car’s front right.

The Spring Hill man was ejected from the motorcycle. That vehicle caught fire, and the motorcyclist who was wearing a helmet was fatally injured at the scene.

The driver of the sedan and her 51-year-old male passenger also from Villagebrook Middletown, Delaware both sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
