Florida Cracker Kitchen magnates Blair and Ethan Hensley were awarded the Margaret Ghiotto Commercial Improvement Award for their latest restaurant, The Cook Shack.
During the November 7, 2022, City Council Meeting, Amanda Cunningham-Rudd, Chair of the Brooksville Beautification Board, and council members recognized The Cook Shack as a Brooksville business that brightens the corner at 511 South Broad Street.
Rudd commended the Hensley’s success, saying, “The Florida Cracker Brand has been an absolute asset to Brooksville; using their skill and experience, they transformed a formerly vacant building into a place of beauty; from their signature green-and-white large gathering area on the outside to their order counter branded by local ranchers.”
Blair Hensley, with brother Ethan by his side, said to the audience, “The only way we can get an award like this is because of y’all. You all have supported me since 2006… my mom and her restaurant, and you’re making Brooksville what it is and who we are. So, we’re nothing in this community without you all supporting us.”
