Notes from the Museums: Volunteers

It was a lovely Sunday afternoon on March 10 th when about 30 Museum volunteers gathered for lunch at the beautiful pavilion at the historic Treiman House in Brooksville. Karen Beasley hosted the event and had set lanterns inside magnolia wreaths at each cream colored, clothed table.

Chris Rhodes, Brooksville Main Street president, addressed the group and brought updates on Main Street activities as well as Russell Streets upcoming Russell Street improvements. Veronica Lee and staff served up the southern style buffet of fried chicken and pot roast plus several vegetable side dishes and her fabulous corn bread! Peach cobbler and a cake topped off the delicious luncheon. Volunteers are the heart of the Museums and the time they enthusiastically donate keeps Brooksville history alive!
