Frequent toll-road users in Florida have received $343.4 million in credits over the first nine months of a year-long program, the state announced Tuesday. The Florida Department of Transportation said motorists were issued $38.3 million in credits in September as part of the program, which provides 50 percent credits to people who use SunPass or other Florida transponders and make 35 or more toll-road trips a month. The program, projected to provide $480 million in credits over the full year, was approved during a special legislative session in December. The program expanded on a similar 2022 program that was offered on fewer toll roads and with lower rebates.
